Tobin started her career in Houston in Texas, where she appeared in her role in the Theatre Under the Stars Cats musical. As part of the group, she played Etcetera. Additionally, in Houston in the following year, Tobin was a part of The Theater Under the Stars ensemble production of West Side Story. Tobin was part of the ensemble in the Paper Mill Playhouse's High School Musical! New Jersey. Between 2008 and 2009 she was a member of the group of Oklahoma! Theater of the Stars, Atlanta.
